Friday With Friends

Hello bloggers!!!! Yes, I've been a little absent. I've been so busy and haven't had time to find a computer and blog. I've missed it though so I'm going to try and do better.

This past friend Josh and I went to Conway to visit our friends Todd, Jenny, and Ben.

I didn't take one picture of them as a family so I took this one off their blog. :) Todd just recently took a position as Children's Minister at Second Baptist Church and Josh and I wanted to visit them in their new place. We went to one of our favorite places to eat, Larry's Pizza. Seriously, I love this place.
Aren't both of these guys cute?? Ben is getting so big it's unreal! Soon he'll have a little brother or sister (I'm thinking sister) around the house to keep him busy.

Josh made friends with this guy who brought him his favorite pizza, Taco. After I took this guy's picture (see the surprised look on his face) I told him, "It's ok, I'm a blogger." As if that can excuse the crazy picture taking. It can, right?!?! Well most bloggers would take more than two pictures but I was more concerned about the pizza and the company and forgot.

After dinner we headed back to their house. Jenny, Ben, and I sat around and chatted while the older boys checked out Todd's new stomping grounds. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again soon.

The rest of the weekend consisted of Josh working on church and seminary work and me sewing and taking a nap. That's pretty much what our weekends have turned into. I need to get caught up on my orders because football season is just around the corner! WOOPIGSOOIE!

A Red Head

A while back as I was fabric shopping I came across some paisley fabric that I loved!!!!! I didn't have any reason to buy it but I really liked it and knew I could use it for something. I even thought to my self how cute it would look on a red head.

During my wave of ruffle dress orders a person e-mailed me wanting a dress for her niece. After talking about price, sizes, etc I asked her what colors she wanted. She told me it didn't matter just anything that would look good on a red head. Oh, you can imagine my excitement! I had just the thing. I finished the dress last week and shipped it out. I LOVE it. I can't wait to see the little red head in it.

On another note, my friend Kim at work is having a baby. We gave her a baby shower this past week and some of the ladies asked me to make things for them. Here's what I made for baby Jacob!

Orange Beach 2010 Last Day

Friday, July 29, 2010...Last Day :(
For the last day we decided to head back to Tacky Jacks for breakfast.

I think Courtney was a little tired of having a camera in her face.

After we ate mom, sister, and I went to the mall for a while and then stopped to see the alligator.

No alligator though. I guess he was tucked away somewhere. I will confess though, we didn't actually go to see the alligator. The alligator just happened to to be somewhere else...

I know, aren't we sick. We wanted a snack for later. :)
After a few errands it was beach time. Woohoo!

Daily Beach Picture

The beach was glorious. The water was perfect and the sand was white. I loved being out there. The only problem is it was HOTT! The heat wave was making itself known.

After a day on the beach we all just relaxed and packed. I tear up just thinking about. For dinner we decided to eat in the condo. Mom cooked us a delicious summer treat.

We had a great vacation and were so sad to come home.

Orange Beach was crying.

The fam was crying.

Josh was crying
Until next time...

Orange Beach 2010 Part 3

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Good morning, parents!

Good morning, Ocean! Wednesday was another beautiful day.

Mom and I worked on the puzzle before heading out to the beach. Our family (my mom, sister, and I) love puzzles!

Daily Beach Picture

Mom getting some sun.

Josh getting geared up for a tough day on the beach full of reading and relaxing.

Since my legs were still in bad shaped I sat where they were shaded under the tent but my arms could get some sun. Nice.

Ringo, our buddy.

There were several of these out. I'm not really sure what they were cleaning because there wasn't any oil.

After a day at the beach we all headed out for a bit of fun. We went to Souvenir City in Gulf Shores. We always get fudge (imagine that, my family always getting a dessert) and my sister needed a few souvenirs.

Peanut butter fudge is the best.

After shopping we headed to dinner at the Shrimp Basket.

Fried Pickles

After dinner we headed to Walmart to get some essentials (more desserts) and to help walk off some of the dinner we just ate. You can't have a vacation without multiple trips to WM.

We LOVE Zapps chips when we go on vacation. I mean LOVE them.

Told ya!

Something else we love are Paula Deen desserts at Walmart. In Little Rock my mom gets the ooey gooey butter cakes but in Alabama they had even more choices.

Oh. My. Word. My favorite dessert of the trip was PD's caramel chocolate shortbread. So good.

When we got back to the condo CJ, dad, and Josh watched TV while mom and I finished the puzzle.

Breakfast

More sweets.

Another good looking day at the beach.

Daily beach picture.

The water was so clear and perfect.

Do you see oil? I don't!

Dad and Josh are still looking cool.

Josh and I sat under the tent for a while then it was time to head upstairs and get ready to head out to dinner.

The boys waiting on mom to get ready. After we got ready we took pictures on the balcony then went to dinner at a place we hadn't tried before.

The night before (Wednesday) as we were driving back to our condo we noticed there were a lot of cars in the parking lot of Cosmo's. We figured it must be worth checking out because hardly any restaurants were that busy. I checked out the menu on my phone and we knew we had to try it.

The bread and salad were SO good. That should have been our indication that we were in for a treat.

Oh my word! My dinner we delicious. I mean GOOD! I don't eat seafood so when I got to the beach my options are either fried chicken tenders, grilled chicken breast, or salad. It was so nice being at a place that had several options. I had a hard time deciding. I'm so glad I ordered what I did. I wish I had some right not.

Josh doesn't like it when I leave his food off this blog so here's his pasta. :)
And for dessert....

Banana Fritters. Slap yo mama! They were delicious.
After dinner at our new favorite restaurant we headed down to the beach for some relaxation and reading. We saw some dolphins but my camera didn't take very clear pictures.
